#That70sShow - Collab with FlyingPenguin & Priscilla Chua

My friend Chua from Edmonton and his sister were in town again, and rightfully so we decided to collab once more - but this time it was with not one Chua, but two! I was definitely channeling Jackie from That '70s Show and this might be my favourite shoot yet. Now I'm hungry so enjoy!

Here are some bloopers turned GIFs for your entertainment and my demise:

#WhiteClass

There are times when we can't stop talking even though we actually don't have anything valid to talk about and as it turns out today is one of those days where I'm looking at these pictures and I have no idea what to say and I'm not one to describe what I'm wearing because 'a picture is worth 1000 words' so I'll just say that I only eat Hawaiian pizza and no matter how good a Pizza place is if they don't offer Hawaiian pizza it ain't my place.

#LikeAPostcard - Collab with FlyingPenguin

My friend Chua from Edmonton was recently in town, and even though he's a photographer and we've been friends for 12 years, we never got a chance to actually shoot until this week! He's crazy talented so feel free to check out his work and follow him on Instagram.

#TighteyWhities

I like supporting people that are doing cool things, so check out my friend Mikaela's Instagram and soon-to-launch-blog. For every 2000 followers she gets, she gives back $50 to a charity (right now it's currently to the Toronto Humane Society). Blogging for a cause, me likie.

#BlackHeart

Just discovered Pokemon GO today and I am addicted. My obsession started 20 years ago with the release of Red for the Game Boy, which then led into card trading, and now it's come full circle with a phone app. LOVE IT.

Also, this is a glimpse into what 99% of my photos look like:

#Blanc - Collaboration with Daniel Wellington

I normally don't wear watches, but I'll always make an exception with Daniel Wellington. I like the simplicity and how lightweight it is. The blue hands won over my heart with this particular one I'm wearing, as it provides a subtle pop against the simple white face.

Feel free to use code SIMPLYTEEE for 15% your next Daniel Wellington watch. Expires July 15th. Get it while supplies last. Accessories sold separately.

Side note: Who remembers Baby born? Still want one...

How-To: Look Fabulous with 7 Day Old Hair

Well, half decent. Since I was rocking 7 day old hair here, I'm going to share some tips on how I maintain it without actually washing it. Going to keep it short and sweet - just like me. Minus the sweet part.

1. Let's Get Dirrty - (As Aguilera would put it) No matter how oily or smelly your hair is, or how itchy your scalp gets, don't give in. You need to train your hair, especially if it's used to being washed everyday. 7 days may be excessive, but washing your hair at least every other day ensures your scalp is not overproducing oil to compensate for the dryness.

2. Cozy up with Dry Shampoo - Let dry shampoo become your best friend. My favourite is Batiste's Original or Bumble and bumble's Prêt-à-Powder. I apply it in-between washes to my roots, and massage the powder into my hair.

3. Let's Tango - With your comb, that is. Being an unnatural blonde, I usually wake up looking like a dragon lady with dreadlocks. After I comb out all the tangles, my hair is 10x more manageable and I can style accordingly.

4. Smooth Criminal - (had to reference MJ) For that finishing touch, to make it look like you just washed your hair and got a blowout, Bumble and bumble's Hairdresser's Invisible Oil is great for adding shine and taming flyaways (especially those stubborn baby hairs). I can't leave the house without it!

And that's how I get away with not washing my hair for 7 days. Would love to know the longest you've gone without washing yours!

#BabyPink

Baby pink, baby food, baby Spice, babies, baby Bieber - all my favourites :).

Yes I still eat baby food, yes peas and pear are my favourite flavours, and yes up until grade 6 I still drank the instant baby milk powder because I preferred the taste to regular milk.

#QuarterCentury - Collab with North of Heaven x Andrew So x Judy Lim Makeup

Quarter century milestone []. But really, I'm a 75-year-old grandma trapped in a 16-year-old body. For this special milestone, I collaborated with Van (Designer of North of Heaven) to design a glam (but NOT prom) dress that still aligned with my simple style. Because I rarely get the opportunity to dress up, I thought it'd be fun to step out of my comfort zone.

This was my first time working with a designer, and it was amazing to be able to have creative input into the dress design, as well as see it come to fruition. It was also the first time getting my hair and makeup done for the shoot, and Judy (Judy Lim Makeup) was an incredible sport considering I'm extremely picky. My face is also set to derp by default, so shoutout to Andrew for being able to capture decent non-derp angles of me.

This entire experience encompassed many firsts, but an incredibly fun one at that!

#CatVideos&Chill - Collab with Arm The Animals

Cat videos and chill/churros/cheese/cheerios/chicken -- that's my ideal Friday night. Now try saying THAT ten times over.

Jokes aside, I've collaborated with Arm the Animals, who aims to support small, struggling animal welfare organizations that help rescues. A portion of the proceeds towards their apparel goes to helping with shelter, food, vet bills and other basics all rescues need. Feel free to check out some of their other clever designs on their website or Instagram!

#Camel

Toe. Hehe.

I find it interesting when people meet me, and say I'm outgoing, social, and bubbly. I think I'm actually socially awkward, and a lot of times I feel quite anti-social. Fun fact: I was pretty much mute in school until grade 6. I only spoke to one other person (my best friend), but didn't speak a word to anyone else. I was put into ESL class because my teachers thought I couldn't speak English, but really, I just chose not to speak. Now you can't shut me up.

And there's your random tidbit of the day!

#RedWedding

HAHA misleading title, but with 2-ish weeks away until the Game of Thrones season 6 premiere, I thought it was fitting. That's all.

#Throwback

A #tbt from two weeks ago! Just came back from a mini work trip to New Jersey and Pennsylvania, and I already miss it. Downtown Philly has absolutely amazing food, people, architecture, and such a pleasant vibe -- enough to make me want to move down there! We stayed in Manhattan for a night, so got a glimpse of classic Times Square before heading back to Jersey. Not sure yet if I'll be doing a full blog post about my time there, but stay tuned for more details in my next post regardless! :)

#NoFrills

I recently got accepted into rewardStyle, and am super stoked about it! I didn't think I would given that I'm fairly new to blogging, but am excited for the opportunities that may come of it. Also for anyone that has not seen We Bare Bears, watch this 5 second clip and tell me you're not obsessed!

#WeRunTheWorld

Who run the world? WOMEN! This outfit was to commemorate International Women's Day yesterday. There's a quote that says, "Girls compete with each other. Women empower one another". Since I started blogging 6 months ago, my favourite part about it is the opportunity to meet amazing, creative women that all support and empower each other through the same craft. These women inspire and motivate me to actively pursue my goals and not give up on this dream.

#Ba-Ba-Brrr - Collab with CV Photography

If you're wondering why the weird title, it's because I feel like a sheep whenever I wear this faux sherpa vest, and because it was -20 degrees outside that day. Was I wishing I was Lenny Kravitz'ing it up with a large blanket scarf and two parkas, or better yet snuggled up in bed instead of being outside? Yep.

#BohoChic

Not really, but the hair (inspired by Erin Elizabeth) made me feel like a bohemian princess. Definitely didn't turn out as well as hers did, but you can watch the fun tutorial here! Mother nature also decided to tease us with spring-like weather this past weekend. However, it was fairly windy out (as you can tell by my crazy baby hairs), so we were a little bit deceived.

PS. My fly is indeed NOT open contrary to what it may look like :)

#AnotherOne - with Chris Leung

Another photoshoot with Chris! This was actually on the same day as the #Caramel post, with a quick change in the car in-between. Outfit was inspired by Gigi Hadid, but if you were to do a 'Who Wore It Better' comparison, Hadid will always win. Also, feel free to check out more of Chris' other work!
